London Borough of Hounslow proposes a new conservation area. On first reading it looks as though Chiswick Village will fall just outside the proposed area. Is this good or bad ?...........

Read the Reports and Accounts and The breakdown of the service charge for 2000 - 2001

January 2002
CVRL announces a 48% rise in the service charge.
In their letter CVRL increases as much as 816% for "Legal & Professional Fees" are cited. Also up by 716% are "Surveyors Fees" and - new in the chart this year - a vague £200, 000 for "External Pointing & Common Parts". See a more detailed analysis here.

I am all for improving the Village and paying for it - but paying for the failed attempt by Solo Estates for the penthouses...........This seems to be Leathbond and Berger all over again.
